Admiralty & Maritime
We represent the world’s largest and most successful cruise lines, shipping companies, and their P&I Clubs and insurers. We defend shipowners and charterers and regularly handle matters involving claims for Jones Act negligence, unseaworthiness, maintenance & cure, unearned wages, retaliatory discharge, COGSA, and Limitation of Liability actions.

Foreman Friedman attorneys have a long history in handling a wide variety of maritime and admiralty matters.  We are designated local correspondent counsel for a number of major marine insurance and indemnity entities including The Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association and the RaetsClub.

Our attorneys have hundreds of published maritime cases in courts throughout the country. Our firm has extensive experience in defending cruise lines in both guest and crew claims and we frequently handle cases involving allegations of shipboard crime, failure to evacuate, medical malpractice, and all manner of shipboard accidents and we are frequently called upon to conduct onboard investigations, training, and corporate crisis management.

Appellate Practice
Foreman Friedman attorneys have handled a wide array of appellate cases throughout both the state and federal court systems, including at the Florida Supreme Court and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeal.  Several of our attorneys are admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court.  Our appellate attorneys regularly assist at the trial level to insure all appellate remedies are preserved and to represent our clients should cases go up on appeal.

Medical Malpractice
