She has hands-on experience in both state and federal court, including taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and examining witnesses. Clients turn to Ms. Echevarria for a sharp and focused lawyer, with not only a deep understanding of personal injury law, but also a down-to-earth and practical mindset.

Prior to joining Foreman Friedman, P.A., Ms. Echevarria also represented businesses and individuals in a wide array of state and federal litigation matters. Ms. Echevarria regularly handled business disputes gaining significant experience in defending claims for breach of contract, fraud, misrepresentation, false advertising, violation of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), and medical malpractice.

Ms. Echevarria’s assistance is sought when clients are in need of high-quality pragmatic advice in complex catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, premises liability and multi-party tort actions. As she is a proactive and dedicated lawyer, Ms. Echevarria is a genuine problem-solver who delivers explicit solutions to complex issues.

Ms. Echevarria’s Experience Includes:

  • Premises Liability: Successfully obtained summary judgment in favor of defendant based on a negligence claim brought by a former passenger who tripped over a threshold. Passenger claimed that she tripped and fell over a threshold on a cruise ship because she was distracted by a large central lighting feature in the atrium of the ship. The Court granted summary judgment in favor of the cruise line because there was no notice of any prior similar incidents involving the subject threshold or the lighting feature and because the threshold was open and obvious to the passenger who admitted knowing it was there prior to her fall.
  • Business Torts: Successfully prosecuted an intentional tort claim for conversion and civil theft on behalf of an artist against a local art gallery. The defendant art gallery held 9 art pieces for consignment on behalf of the artist. Instead of consigning the art, the art gallery concealed the location of the art, refused to return the art to the artist, and never paid the artist under the contract. The Court entered an order requiring the art gallery to disclose the location of the art, return the art to the artist, and for a judgment against the art gallery for civil theft.
